not a business project. It is a family story of faith, heritage, and devotion
that began generations before I was born.

Welcome to Prayer Orthodoxy. My name is Larry, and everything you see here comes from a lineage shaped by the Orthodox faith. My family roots stretch back from Damascus to Cyprus, carrying with them the sound of Byzantine chanting passed down through generations. Orthodox tradition was not something we learned, it was something we lived.

My uncle was a renowned Byzantine iconographer whose work filled churches and monasteries across Cyprus, Greece and even Serbia. Watching him paint these beautiful spaces with prayer and precision inspired my own passion for photography and videography. I began capturing the beauty of our churches and monasteries with the same reverence he carried in every brushstroke.

Growing up, I traveled through Cyprus with my family, having lived there, visiting places like Stavrovouni, Machairas, Panagia tou Kikkou, and the village chapels hidden in the mountains. These moments shaped me. They taught me stillness, devotion, and the sacred beauty of our tradition.

My professional life has always been in luxury hospitality, where attention to detail and excellence are essential. Yet through all my travels and visits to monasteries, I noticed that high quality Orthodox apparel did not exist. Nothing reflected the craftsmanship, dignity, and depth of our faith. So, our family decided to build something worthy.

Prayer Orthodoxy is a family effort. My wife, a devout Orthodox Christian, helps run the daily operations and keeps everything moving with love and dedication. My younger son, Alex is a co founder, bringing his education in business management and his experience in online entrepreneurship to guide the creative direction and design. His girlfriend for many years, Alex (yes, they are both named Alex) is also a devout Orthodox Christian. My older son, Savvas and his wife, Anna, are currently attending Hellenic College at Holy Cross in Boston, MA. He is studying to become an Orthodox priest, God willing, and she is studying Youth Ministry. Their journey in seminary inspires everything we do.

Together as a family we travel, we film, we pray, and we create. Every photo and video on this website is captured by us in the monasteries and chapels we visit. Every product is designed with intention and respect for the tradition we love.

This is not just apparel; it’s a continuation of our heritage, a celebration of our faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, reverence for the Holy Trinity, Theotokos, the Saints, and all the Angels, and a way to share the beauty of Orthodoxy with the world.
